Summer School "Art of Compromise" On July 29 - August 4, 2002 ADEPT hosted a Summer School, entitled "Art of Compromise" for young party activists. The Summer School was made possible via the support of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy. The School gathered 36 young activists from 7 political parties in the Vadul-lui-Voda resort.

The School was aimed to contribute to the strengthening of the Moldovan system of political parties through empowering young leaders and providing them tools and skills necessary to promote themselves within parties and last but not least to allow the party activists to put in practice the knowledge they acquired during the Leadership School. The motto of the School was the Chineze saying: "Tell me and I'll forget, teach me and I'll recall, involve me and I'll remember". Consequently, participants worked to define the qualities of a good political leader, learned to make effective presentations and to work efficiently in teams, acquired negotiation skills and worked to reach a compromise on controversial issues. Furthermore, young activists defined a Code of Conduct for Political Parties. However the most rewarding experience for the participants was the electoral campaigning: the three political parties formed developed their program, mission, vision and values, slogans electoral symbols and even electoral spots. The electoral campaign ended with TV debates followed by the election itself with party and international observers in attendance.

The Summer School ended with debates on such controversial issues as changing the electoral system and federalization of the Republic of Moldova.

In this respect, the political year 2010 will be marked by the 2009 events, and the PCRM is to blame definitively for perpetuation of political crisis »»»
