Leadership School "Leaders for Change"

Strengthening the Transparency and Accountability of Governmental Institutions

Leadership School "Leaders for Change"
September 2006 – June 2007

In September 2006 ADEPT launched the sixth edition 2006–2007 of the Leadership School for Young Political Leaders. The aim of the programme is to train a new generation of political and civic leaders educated in the spirit of democratic and European values. Likewise, the project aims at strengthening political parties in Moldova by improving the training of young party leaders and by promoting democratic values on which a multi-party system is based. The programme consists of a series of training sessions for 40 young party and NGO leaders, representatives of the media and academia, on leadership, communication, elections, political parties, etc. The 2006–2007 edition of the School is funded by the Royal Netherlands Embassy to Moldova.

Strengthening the Transparency and Accountability of Governmental Institutions

The project is addressed to public officers, political parties, media, international organisations, NGOs and academia. The project consists of weekly legislative, political and socio-economic commentaries, as well as the bi-weekly electronic journal "Governance and Democracy in Moldova", which reflects the quality of governance and the evolution of political processes in Moldova. The expected results of the project will be enhanced transparency of the legislative, political, socio-economic decision making processes; debates and analysis of public policies in view of improving them and identifying alternative ways of approaching the body politics in all its complexity. Project is funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
