Appointments. Reshuffles

The executive has appointed Mr. Nicolae Batrincea as deputy director-general of the Customs Service and dismissed Mr. Anatolie Barbarosie from the post of deputy director-general of the Customs Service “as the staffs were reduced.”

Decisions

Decision approving the report on implementation of the 2006–08 strategy on sustained development of small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) in 2006 (decision pertaining to state etiquette). The Ministry of Economy and Commerce is asked to increase the efforts aimed to support the development of SMBs through concrete actions with a direct impact, so that to encourage a real rise of the number of jobs.

Decisions approving some programmes, concepts, strategies:

the Action Plan of the Government for the 3^rd quarter of 2007;
the Concept of the Judicial Information System for 2007–2008.

Decision approving the draft law on prevention and combat of money laundering and financing of terrorism;

Decision on allocation of funds. As much as 3.2 million lei is allocated from the fund for implementation of the reform strategy of the Central Public Administration “to cover the expenditures for creation and reorganisation of some institutions.”

Administration of state-owned enterprises

The prime minister has convoked governmental decision makers to discuss a better management of enterprises with state capital, with talks focussing on the need to ensure a strict control on respect for legislation on management of fixed funds and payment of dividends by these businesses. Vasile Tarlev demanded an ample assessment of results of activity of state representatives in management boards of enterprises, ordering competent authorities to severely sanction the functionaries who fail their tasks and to dismiss them later.

Situation of some medical-sanitary institutions

Information regarding needs and future works has been released at a working sitting on renovation and modernisation of the Republican Emergency Hospital and the Tuberculosis Hospital based in Vorniceni. The premier ordered a schedule plan on some works aimed to create adequate conditions for a more efficient activity of the Emergency Service and stressed the importance of performing the planned works in the due terms by respecting the quality building parameters.
