The prime minister has convoked a sitting and learned that the drug sale monitoring software was installed in about 500 pharmacies and branches until now, or approximately 80 percent of all pharmacies. Agency officials noted that the implementation of this system has essentially improved the record of quality of medications sold to population and reduced the fiscal evasion in this sector. Also, the drug registrations rose by 23.5 percent and pharmacies which implemented the record system have increased nearly three-fold the collections to the budget compared with 2005. Competent ministries will ensure the integration of the software within one month, while the Drug Agency jointly with the Ministry of Information Development will update the drug classifier and will improve the software installation mechanism, ensuring the installation of software in all pharmacies by the end of this year.
