Biographical Data

Born on March 23, 1942 in Ruseni village, Edinet county. Moldovan nationality. He spent his childhood in Habarovsc region, where his family was deported in 1949. He graduated Technical Railroad School, completed military service and since 1965 has permanently resided in Moldova.

In 1970 he graduated Technical Institute from Chisinau as electrical engineer. He worked for design and construction organizations. Commencing 1977 he had worked in the Gosplan MSSR until he was promoted to the position of Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economy.

He left state service in 1995, when fired from the position of permanent representative of the Republic of Moldova in CIS via the Presidential Decree, due to publications on corruption among the leadership of the country.

Since then he has worked as General Vice-manager of the joint Moldovan-Greek venture TERMINAL dealing with Giurgiulesti petrol terminal project. Married, two sons. Built a house, financially secured.
