Coalition “Civic Initiative of Gagauzia” (NGOs: Centre for Socio-Cultural Development and Cooperation, Independent Journalism Centre from Gagauzia and Youth Organisation “Piligrim-Demo Gagauzia”) has proposed to the journalists and to the leadership of Gagauz mass media institutions to sign a social pact called “For honest elections”. This document aims to contribute to the creation of the necessary conditions for fair elections of the Governor (Bashkan) of Gagauzia; to the consolidation and affirmation of the ethic norms in the mass media coverage of the electoral process; and to the creation of equal opportunities for all electoral contestants.
