Press conference of the CEC president

At a press conference aimed at evaluating the December 3 elections, the president of Central Electoral Commission (CEC), Victor Caloshin, has remarked the high turn-out of voters. Among the problems and deficiencies observed during the election campaign, Caloshin has mentioned:

Former candidate statement

Alexandr Stoianoglo, independent candidate in the first round of elections, has declined information in mass media as he would have asked voters to support Mihail Formuzal in the second round of elections. Stoianoglo has declared that neither he, nor his staff representatives launched such appeals and declarations. “The mere attempt to formulate our position in this respect, points to the «black» PR, to the most primitive methods of propaganda, grounded on a disdainful attitude for the autonomy voters and for their rights to receive credible information”, Stoianoglo has stated. His voters in the first round of elections are asked to vote in the second round “as their civic attitude are telling them”. (Moldpres)
