AMN’s appeal

At a press conference, the leadership of “Moldova Noastra” (“Our Moldova”) Alliance (AMN) has asked diplomatic missions, OSCE Mission, non-governmental organizations and political parties from Moldova to monitor more closely the electoral process for the Governor post of Gagauzia. According to AMN chairman, Serafim Urechean, the present authorities are misusing administrative resources, so that to promote favourite candidate of Communist Party and are applying all methods in order to suppress his opponents. AMN states that it will not support any candidate in these elections, being only interested in a free and fair electoral process and without any infringements that have been observed in 2001, 2003 and 2005 election campaigns. Appeal in support of M.Formuzal

The Congress of Russian Communities (CRC) has appealed to Gagauz voters to vote on December 3, 2006 for Mihail Formuzal candidate. The appeal has been read by Valeri Klimenko, president of CRC and chairman of Social-Political Movement “Ravnopravie”, who observed that, among all four electoral contestants, M.Formuzal is the worthiest candidate and will be supported in his future activity by representatives of Russian ethnic group. Mihail Dudoglo candidate has launched his web page. On the page are posted (at the moment, only in Russian) candidate’s biography, his electoral program, supporting declarations and other information materials.
