Oazu Nantoi and his team have joined the electoral campaign

The “Platforma Populara Europeana din Moldova (European People’s Platform of Moldova) — Iurie Leanca” electoral bloc has officially joined the electoral campaign for the general local elections with the slogan “A city you want to stay in!” The bloc’s leader Iurie Leanca said that a feeling of unfairness and betrayal is present in society, and the mayor’s office, instead of being an exception that should give hope, is, unfortunately, a model of corrupt institution in which various obscure interests hide behind the general mayor. “Our electoral campaign will be based only on the dialogue with citizens and not on image tricks. It is related to our limited budget, but it is also an issue of common sense not to engage into a luxurious campaign when the situation in the country is not quite good,” Iurie Leanca said.

At the same time, candidate for Chisinau mayor Oazu Nantoi appealed to Chisinau and Moldova residents “to join forces on 14 June and vote so that the society’s problems could be solved not by words, but by actions.” // adevarul.md

Marcel Darie has officially joined the electoral race for general mayor

Thus, according to him, an internal security division shall be created directly under the general mayor, with the following responsibilities: calculation of the index of public officials’ predisposition to corruption; undercover testing of public officials; verification and expert assessment of all documents issued by Chisinau mayor’s office; direct access of information holders or victims of corrupt officials; and real work of the anticorruption line.

“I am categorically against the use of force in public institutions. The situation that happened at the mayor’s office the other day is unacceptable. I will establish order at the local level, but not with physical force, but with my own authority and professionalism,” Marcel Darie said.
