Irina Vlah left the Party of Communists’ parliamentary group

Irina Vlah, MP of the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova (PCRM), announced at the first Parliament meeting that she was leaving the party’s parliamentary group. The reason for leaving the party, according to her, is the PCRM’s collaboration with pro-European parties. Irina Vlah hoped that after the elections power would be taken by the forces that would stop chaos and corruption in the country. Instead, communists “betrayed those who voted for the PCRM” and joined the most corrupted parties.

In her announcement, Irina Vlah mentioned that “the governing coalition is being openly created under the guidance of European commissioners, which means that Europe is going to guide them… The governing coalition of the PDM-PLDM [Democratic Party of Moldova and Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova], joined by communists, has nothing in common with the interests of the people of Gagauzia. Nor with the interests of all Moldovan citizens.” Irina Vlah added that she will be an independent MP.
