Nicolai Dudoglo and Serghei Cernev intend to challenge the results of the Bashkan elections

Candidates for Bashkan Nicolai Dudoglo and Serghei Cernev demand the recounting of votes. According to Nicolai Dudoglo, an application for that has already been sent to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) in Comrat, and there might have been not only violations in the counting of votes, but also bribery of voters.

“For every vote in Comrat, Ceadir-Lunga, and Vulcanesti, voters were given up to 500 lei. We believe that electoral commissions are likely to have been bribed, too. Our observers were not allowed to get close when the counting was being done. We suspect that there was falsification during the counting as well. We appealed to the CEC, requesting that the votes be recounted,” Dudoglo said. // tv7.md

Mihail Formuzal called Dudoglo’s request to recount the votes “a disgrace”

The request made by candidates for Bashkan Nicolai Dudoglo and Serghei Cernev will have them lose respect in the Gagauz society. Current Bashkan Mihail Formuzal said it to a correspondent of the Omega news agency.

“They can’t even lose with dignity. It is a disgrace to lose with such a gap, and then demand the recounting of votes. Dudoglo lets himself drop to the lowest of the low and deprives himself of the last respect he had in the Gagauz society. A person who received 120 votes but had presented signature sheets in his support for one and a half thousand persons is not worth speaking about,” Formuzal said, meaning Serghei Cernev, who obtained 0.19% of votes. // omg.md
