Four members of the Liberal Party (PL), candidates on the party’s list, have been detained by Transnistrian control authorities at the Cosnita-Dubasari border crossing. They are: Vladimir Meleca, head of the territorial organization of the PL in Tiraspol; Denis Cirlig, head of Liberal Youth in Tiraspol; Irina Gataniuc, secretary of the territorial organization of the PL in Tiraspol; and young liberal Victor Fanachi. They were detained upon returning from a meeting with voters in the town of Grigoriopol. The passports and promotional materials that the four activists had at the time were confiscated. The PL candidates were also photographed and recorded on video by the so-called Transnistrian customs officers, and then allowed to pass. // unimedia.md
