Four political parties have received money from the state

Only four political parties in Moldova have benefited from state subsidies, while other parties show lack of interest. This is the opinion of the chair of the Central Electoral Commission, Alina Russu. According to her, only PLDM, PL, PDM and PSRM have opened special bank accounts for budgetary subsidies.

In 2015 the Parliament passed the Law on financing political parties. Thus, for 2016 the CEC provided funding in the amount of MDL 41 million, 50 percent of which will be offered to parties based on performance in parliamentary elections and 50 percent based on performance in local elections. // deschide.md

ACC: 103 broadcasters will cover the electoral campaign

Audiovisual Coordinating Council approved 120 internal regulations on electoral coverage in the presidential elections of October, 2016 by the broadcasting institutions in Moldova. 103 broadcasters will cover the campaign (44 radio stations and 59 TV stations). Meanwhile, 17 broadcasters (11 radio and 6 TV stations) have expressed their intention to not cover the campaign. // realitatea.md

Iurie Leanca was registered as a candidate for president

The candidate nominated by the European Popular Party, Iurie Leanca, was registered as a candidate for President of the Republic of Moldova. The CEC also registered his electoral symbol and confirmed the person in charge of campaign’s finances. At the same time, the CEC took note of the initiative group financial report as of September 12, 2016, and decided it was presented in accordance with the electoral legal provisions.

Vadim Brinzan: citizens can check how they pay for governors luxury

Vadim Brinzan, independent candidate, said the taxes paid by Moldovans are comparable to those paid by the US citizens, but what you get instead is very different.

During a press conference, the candidate has launched www.vadimbrinzan.md website that provides a tool by which every taxpayer in Moldova can calculate the annual amount he pays from his own salary in the state budget. “Dignity and Truth” Platform launched an information campaign

The “Dignity and Truth” Platform announced the launch of a campaign to inform citizens on the socio-political situation in the country. “We must act as awakened citizens, to go in the country and tell people the truth. We will go with informational materials, various films, so that citizens know the truth. Who ruled them? Who stole them? The campaign will be carried out throughout the country”, said Nastase. // Tribuna
