Preliminary entry order in the ballot of the last 8 candidates

Central Electoral Commission established the preliminary entry order in the ballot of the following candidates for President of the Republic of Moldova:
  1. Vitalia Pavlicenco, independent candidate
  2. Silvia Radu, independent candidate
  3. Maia Laguta, independent candidate
  4. Ana Gutu, designated by the Political Party “Right”
  5. Roman Mihaes, independent candidate
  6. Ion Dron, independent candidate
  7. Vasile Tarlev, independent candidate
  8. Valeriu Ghiletchi, independent candidate
According to the law, within 7 days from the date of submission of subscription lists, the Commission should examine the set of documents, to verify petitions submitted and decide on registration or refusal of registration of these candidates.

Marian Lupu officially launched his electoral campaign

The Democrats’ leader Marian Lupu officially launched his campaign for President of the Republic of Moldova. During the event the politician said that Moldova’s future depends on implementation of reforms and EU integration. If elected as president of the country, Marian Lupu promised to create a commission consisting of personalities from the European Union to help Moldova to get rid of corruption. Also, Marian Lupu promises to pray Commissioners to ensure that European assistance to Moldova is effectively administrated. The politician said he is proud to be Moldovan and that he understands the need for cooperation among all ethnic groups in Moldova and will take account of this. Also, Marian Lupu said he will strive to support families and will be ruthless with domestic violence, violence against women and children.

Igor Dodon officially launched his electoral campaign

PSRM nominee for President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, officially launched his electoral campaign and presented his electoral platform. His three priorities are: “1. statehood, neutrality, Moldovan identity; 2. Strong economic and social justice; 3. Orthodox faith and friendly relations with the Russian Federation. Over the next weeks will be released the detailed program for each of these priorities”, said Dodon. He stressed that his first decrees as President will refer to the stolen billion, relaunching economic relations with the Russian Federation and counteracting unionist actions.

Dumitru Ciubasenco officially launched his electoral campaign

The candidate of “Our Party” for President of the Republic of Moldova, Dumitru Ciubasenco, started the electoral campaign promising that if elected as head of state he will decree the dissolution of the Parliament. Dumitru Ciubasenco said that the present legislature was illegitimate from the beginning as it was elected following several forgeries, of which the most serious was the elimination from the race of the “Our Party” which would have obtained a majority in the Parliament according to opinion polls. Another election promise is to adopt a new Constitution in a national referendum. He said he is committed to save the country which is “captured by the oligarch Plahotniuc”.
